
Heard this on NPR and thought I would share it with you all.
The time line of the universe begins with the Big Bang and goes to Now. Walk the equivalent length of 100 yards. For every single step one takes it equals 70 million years, now walk the entire 100 yards. When you get to the end, you will be 65 million years ago. This is when the dinosaurs became extinct. Take one more step and it will be modern day. Now imagine that at the end of the distance there is mounted a single human hair. On the left side of the hair, cave men where drawing the first known cave paintings and on the right side of the hair, is this moment as you are reading this (.) We are a sec, on a sec, of a second.
